Kjersti and Maria are a magical couple— you can probably tell by this first photo. They chose early spring for their wedding, which felt so fitting with the lush green grass and trees accompanied by a dramatic sky. Kjersti met Maria in the main hall for the first look, which caused both of them to burst into tears before even seeing each other. When Maria turned to Kjersti, she said “it’s like staring at the sun,” and was overwhelmed with emotions-there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

We explored the house and property for portraits with the couple and their wedding party, seeking out the best lighting and backdrops.

When it was time to be married, Kjersti and Maria had the worlds sweetest and shortest ceremony. They walked back down the aisle holding hands, dancing to Spice Girls— it was pretty epic.

The reception was decorated perfectly, with custom art by Kjersti and candles of multiple heights in vintage vases. As soon as the dance floor was open, it was full— and the party didn’t stop there! Guests turned out for the couple, and the night was beautiful. Around sunset, we had a true golden hour, which was the perfect cap to a perfect day.
