Julia and Kareem might be the world’s kindest couple. Even before I arrived for the day, I was hearing rumors about this sweet family that seems so excited to be at the Homestead, and to meet everyone involved in Julia and Kareem’s big day. The rumors were true! We felt so welcomed and excited from the minute we arrived.

Julia and her bridesmaids got ready in the Main Suite at the Homestead, while Kareem watched over their tortoise at home. The stress-level was remarkably low- everyone just taking things step by step not worrying about the clock.

Despite a few close calls (one featured below) we managed to keep the couple apart until the ceremony. The ceremony was held outdoors under the large Oak trees, their Tortoise nearby. After the ceremony we completed a record number of large family photos, and then the party truly began!

There was not an empty moment on the dance floor from the time the guests were permitted to enter the tent—kids were dancing to hold music. Once the couple was introduced, guests joined them to dance the night away. In true Geneseo fashion, Julia and Kareem got a beautiful sunset (and pizza) to cap off the evening.
